Redirect viruses aren’t malicious software and they can’t install without your consent, whether you provide it intentionally or not. By altering your browser’s settings, hijackers can redirect you. Another homepage/new tabs will greet you when you launch your browser, and you may find it difficult to reverse these changes. You will see that your browser’s settings will be modified, in addition to the random redirects. But a simple google search of the symptoms and the website the redirects lead to would indicate a hijacker being responsible.
